COCKTAIL RECIPES

Every gin shelf needs a bottle of Campfire London Dry Gin. Our original and most popular gin is the quintessential cocktail gin. Refreshing and complex juniper, sweet orange and rich golden berry shine in a classic 1:2 ratio G&T but for the ultimate gin aperitif it has to be served in a Campfire Bone Dry Martini – our martini recipe that won the World’s Best Martini Challenge in 2019. An amazing 10:1 Campfire London Dry Gin to sitting Dry Vermouth ratio!

For a sweeter alternative to a bone dry martini try our Bitter About Vesper cocktail with Lillet Blanc. Best served as an after dinner cocktail or with cakes and scones for afternoon tea. If you’re looking for a warm gin cocktail to serve on bonfire night, Halloween or Christmas parties then try the Puddingstone Purl or Spiced Apple Gin Warmer.

Campfire London Dry Gin Strawberry Basil Smash cocktail recipe

STRAWBERRY & BASIL SMASH

History
Enjoy this summer fruit, herb and gin cocktail – a refreshing mix of Campfire London Dry Gin, strawberries & basil. Easy to make and store in the fridge before serving. We first served this cocktail on our Shrub and Smashes cocktail demo afternoon.

Ingredients
Serves 2
100ml Campfire London Dry Gin
8 Strawberries (sliced)
4 Basil leaves
6 tbsp Sugar syrup
¼ Lime
200ml Fever-Tree Indian Tonic
Ice

Preparation
Add all the ingredients, except the tonic, to a cocktail shaker and muddle (smash with a cocktail muddler or the end of a wooden spoon) to extract flavour from the fruit and basil. You can now store this in a jug in the fridge for a few hours. When you’re ready to serve add some ice and stir. Strain into glasses, top with tonic and garnish with fresh strawberries and basil leaf.
