COCKTAIL RECIPES

PUD PUD Gins (Puddingstone Pudding Gins) are primarily our Christmas gins based around a gin we distill using Christmas pudding ingredients. Along with the regular PUD PUD Gin we use the base gin to create different expressions such as PUD PUD Cask (gin is rested in port infused ex-bourbon casks), PUD PUD Cherry (gin macerated with fresh, locally grown Horwood Cherries) and summer edition PUD PUD Cacao (a distillation of cacao nibs blended with original PUD PUD Gin adding notes of chocolate).

PUD PUD Cherry Gin forms the base of two of our favourite after dinner cocktails – White Herts (our version of a White Russian switching the vodka for PUD PUD Cherry Gin) and Black Forest (think Black Forest Gateaux in a glass!).

History
Created as a special Christmas cocktail with our Christmas winter seasonal gin, PUD PUD Cask Gin, this cocktail is best served after dinner instead of pudding!

Ingredients
35ml PUD PUD Cask Gin
15ml Brown crème de cacao liqueur
5ml Amaretto
5 dashes Bitter Union Aromatic Bitters
Cocoa powder for garnish

Preparation
Wet half the rim of a chilled cocktail glass and dip the edge in the cocoa powder. Add ice to a cocktail mixing glass or shaker along with the PUD PUD Cask Gin, brown crème de cacao, amaretto and Bitter Union Aromatic Bitters. Stir well until chilled and there is some dilution of ice. Strain into the cocktail glass.
