Dining at the Distillery

Having heard that Alison Young, the amazing talent behind Chappell & Caldwell was serving our gin as a welcome drink for her guests, we were naturally intrigued to find out what other goodies she was offering at her revered ‘pop up’ supper clubs.

Now some dining experiences can be like a digital playlist. A random assortment of experiences, each with their own merit but often lacking cohesion or becoming repetitive. Alison’s supper experience however, was like a well crafted vinyl album. A sensory journey that flowed from start to finish punctuated by a stunning opening track, a big B side and the killer finale that leaves you wanting for the next release.

So what do you do after experiencing such a great meal? Well we asked her join us on a dining collaboration, this time using Campfire Gin botanicals as the influence for the courses, which we would then pair with gin based cocktails. And so the first dining in the distillery event was born.

Over 2 nights, on the weekend that coincided with World Gin Day, 48 diners joined us for an evening of amazing food and drink comprising 7 courses and 4 paired drinks. The distillery proved to be an ideal setting made more beautiful with the help of Gillyflower whose wild flower displays were perfect.

We thought it was best at this point to leave you with a wonderful review from one of our guests, click here – Katy from Tring Buzz.
