Puddingstone Distillery Rural Business Awards Regional Final East Win

Distillery picks up two awards at Rural Business Awards regional final

At the end of October my sister Jo, who works part-time at the distillery, and I headed over to Trinity Park in Ipswich for the East regional final of the Rural Business Awards. To our amazement we were crowned Best Rural Drink Business. Not only that but the Distillery was also awarded runner up for Best Rural Start-up.

We were up against some very impressive competition in both categories and were delighted to have picked up awards in both. Unfortunately we already had a Distillery tour booked for the night of the awards so Ben wasn’t able to make the evening however my sister was able to join me for the ceremony for the celebration. It was great to receive this recognition from the Awards judges for the hard work our small team of Campfire crew have put into making the Distillery the business it is today.

We now go forward to the National Finals in February 2019 where we will compete alongside the five other regional final winners in the Best Rural Drink Business category.

The RBAs were founded by Leicestershire businesswomen Jemma Clifford and Anna Price and now attract hundreds of entries from businesses based all over rural Britain. The aim of the awards is to highlight the success of businesses across the UK’s rural economy.
