Martini meets Mahattan
With sweet orange and grapefruit citrus notes Campfire London Dry and Campfire Cask Aged gins both make deliciously smooth martinis. There’s a whole host of different martini recipes out there and we explored a few in our recent martini cocktail demo at the distillery. If you’d like to have a go yourself here are the recipes for three Campfire martinis.
If you like a garnish then all three work well with just a small piece of sweet orange peel.
Bone Dry Martini
6 parts Campfire London Dry Gin
1 part Dolin Dry Vermouth
Ice
Add fridge temperature vermouth to a cocktail shaker which is one quarter filled with ice.
Stir gently to coat the ice with vermouth. Then using a strainer pour away the vermouth (keeping the ice in the shaker).
Add the Campfire London Dry gin and stir for 20 seconds to dilute the ice. Strain into a pre-chilled martini glass.
